S2 Performance Training.
Built for the next recruit.

A law-enforcement hiring-prep company with a 99.9% oral interview pass rate needed a site as sharp as its results. We rebuilt it from the ground up in Webflow — and we're not done yet.

The challenge

What we
walked into.

S2 Performance Training runs the fitness, oral-interview, and academy-readiness coaching that gets candidates hired at police departments across Southern California. Their instructors are working and retired officers. Their client roster reads like a directory of the region's agencies — LAPD, LA County Sheriff, San Diego PD, and two dozen more. The numbers back it up: a 99.9% oral interview pass rate and 100% of eligible clients selected.

The site didn't match any of that. It was running on Squarespace — functional, but dated, hard to extend, and entirely hand-edited. Every new class, every new instructor, every event meant manually rebuilding a page instead of just adding an entry.

The question framing the engagement wasn't just "make it look better." It was: build something that can actually grow with the business — including a future that isn't a marketing site at all.

Our approach

How we
tackled it.

Rebuild in Webflow, not lift-and-shift. That meant treating Instructors and Classes as real CMS collections instead of static pages — so S2 can add a new class, swap an instructor, or list an event without touching code.

On top of that, a sharper visual identity built around what already made S2 credible: real training photography, the agency roster, the pass-rate stats — proof over polish, no stock imagery standing in for the real thing.

01

Built to scale

CMS-driven Instructors and Classes pages instead of hand-edited HTML — new content is a form, not a rebuild.

02

Proof over polish

Real stats, real agency logos, real training photography — the credibility was already there, the site just needed to show it.

03

Additive, not disruptive

The in-person program stays the core of the business. Anything new — like the course platform — layers on top of it.

What we shipped

The work, on the page.

Instructors page, pulling from a live CMS collection
Classes page, live event listing
Real training photography, not stock
Instructor Stan Appel, coaching a recruit
Group training, dawn session
Community moment · K9 unit training session
What happened

And then.

The Instructors and Classes pages are live on real CMS collections — instructor bios, badges, and event listings (date, location, price) are now structured content instead of hand-edited copy. The homepage carries the proof that actually moves a nervous applicant: agency logos, pass-rate stats, and real training photography.

This is an active, ongoing engagement. The next phase — already underway — packages S2's in-person curriculum into gated online courses, so candidates who can't get to Long Beach or Signal Hill in person can still train with S2 before test day. We'll update this case study as that ships.
